TCPA Disclosure & Consent

Last updated: 8/26/2026

This disclosure explains the consent you give when you submit your phone number through the EquityEase refinance quiz and how you can revoke that consent at any time. It is designed to comply with the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act ("TCPA"), 47 U.S.C. § 227, related FCC rules, and applicable state telemarketing laws.

1. Express Written Consent

By checking the consent box and clicking "See My Refinance Options" (or similar submission button), you provide your prior express written consent for EquityEase and up to three (3) of its licensed mortgage and refinance marketing partners (collectively, "Callers") to contact you at the telephone number and email address you provided, for marketing purposes related to mortgage refinance and related financial products.

This includes telephone calls (both live and using an automatic telephone dialing system), artificial-voice or prerecorded-voice messages, ringless voicemail drops, and SMS/MMS text messages, whether or not the number you provided is a wireless number and whether or not your number is registered on any corporate, state, or federal Do-Not-Call registry.

2. Not a Condition of Purchase

Your consent is not required as a condition of purchasing any property, good, or service. You may still request information about refinancing without providing consent by contacting a lender or broker of your choice directly.

3. Who May Contact You

You may be contacted by EquityEase and by any of the licensed mortgage professionals or refinance marketing partners we match you with based on your quiz answers. A current list of participating marketing partner categories is available on request by emailing partner@equity-ease.com. Each contacting party is independently responsible for its own calls, texts, and communications.

4. Automated Technology

You acknowledge and agree that the calls and text messages described above may be delivered using automatic telephone dialing systems, artificial-voice or prerecorded-voice technology, and SMS/text-messaging platforms, even if your telephone number is listed on a corporate, state, or federal Do-Not-Call registry.

5. Message Frequency & Rates

Message frequency varies based on your inquiry and follow-up activity. You should expect to receive between one (1) and ten (10) messages per week from any single Caller during the active follow-up period. Standard message and data rates may apply from your wireless carrier. EquityEase and the Callers are not responsible for carrier charges. Neither EquityEase nor carriers are liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Phone Verification (One-Time Passcode)

Before you can submit the quiz, we send a one-time verification code to the phone number you enter. This confirms the number is yours and helps prevent fraud. The verification text is transactional, is not marketing, and is sent only once per verification attempt. Standard message and data rates may apply.

7. Opt-Out Instructions

You may revoke your consent at any time and by any reasonable means, including:

  • Reply STOP to any text message to stop further texts from that sender.
  • Reply HELP to any text message for help from that sender.
  • Tell any caller during a phone call to place you on their internal Do-Not-Call list.
  • Email partner@equity-ease.com with the subject line "Revoke Consent" and the phone number to remove.

Opting out of one Caller stops that Caller's communications only. To stop communications from all Callers, contact each Caller directly or email us and we will forward your revocation request to the marketing partners you were matched with.

8. Consent Record & Retention

To document your consent as required by the TCPA and FCC rules, we record and retain the following information for at least four (4) years:

  • The phone number and email address you provided.
  • The IP address and approximate location of the device used to submit the quiz.
  • The date and timestamp of your consent submission.
  • The exact consent language you agreed to and the URL where consent was given.
  • The identifiers of the marketing partners you were matched with.
  • Any subsequent opt-out or revocation events.

9. State-Specific Notices

Some states impose additional telemarketing restrictions (for example, Florida's Mini-TCPA and Oklahoma's Telephone Solicitation Act). Nothing in this disclosure limits any rights you may have under applicable state law. If you are a resident of a state with heightened consent or timing requirements, we and our marketing partners will honor those requirements.

10. Questions & Complaints
