1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Information you provide. Name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, and answers to the refinance quiz (including estimated home value, mortgage balance, current interest rate, mortgage type, credit-score range, household income range, employment/military status, refinance goal, and timeline).
• Verification data. The one-time code we text to your phone number, the date and time you verified, and the phone number that was verified.
• Device and usage data. IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring URL, and approximate location derived from IP.
• Cookies and similar technologies. Cookies, pixels, and local storage used to keep the site working, measure traffic, and prevent abuse.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. Do not use the Services if you are under 18.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Verify your phone number via SMS one-time passcode.
• Estimate a monthly-savings range and prepare your refinance profile.
• Match you with one or more licensed mortgage professionals who may contact you.
• Communicate with you about your inquiry, related mortgage products, and follow-ups.
• Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
• Comply with legal obligations, including TCPA record-keeping requirements.
• Improve, secure, and analyze the performance of the Services.

3. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only as described below:

• Mortgage professionals. We share the contact details and quiz answers you submit with up to three (3) licensed mortgage or refinance marketing partners so they can prepare personalized refinance options and contact you.
• Service providers. Vendors that help us operate the Services, including hosting, SMS/OTP delivery, CRM (HubSpot), analytics, and fraud prevention. These vendors are bound by contract to use your information only to perform services for us.
• Legal and safety. When we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of EquityEase, our users, or others.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

We do not sell your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not share your phone number, SMS opt-in status, or verification data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. SMS and Phone Verification

By entering your phone number and requesting a code, you consent to receive an SMS verification message from EquityEase. Message frequency varies by inquiry. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of further texts and HELP for assistance. Your phone number, opt-in status, and verification timestamp are stored to comply with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). 5. Cookies & Analytics

We use first- and third-party cookies to keep sessions active, remember preferences, and measure how visitors use the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect site functionality.

6. Data Retention

We retain quiz submissions and contact information for as long as needed to provide the Services and to comply with our legal obligations, including a minimum of four (4) years for TCPA-related consent records. We may retain aggregated or de-identified data indefinitely.

7. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including HTTPS/TLS in transit and access controls on our CRM. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact us immediately at partner@equity-ease.com.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to (a) request access to the personal information we hold about you, (b) request correction or deletion of that information, (c) opt out of certain sharing, and (d) appeal a denial of your request. California, Colorado, Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, and other state residents have additional rights under their state privacy laws. To exercise any of these rights, email partner@equity-ease.com from the email address on file, or write to us at the address below. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

You may also opt out of marketing calls, texts, and emails at any time by replying STOP to any text, unsubscribing from any email, or asking the calling party to remove you from their list.

9. Do Not Track

Our site does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals at this time because there is no common industry standard for interpreting them.

10. Third-Party Links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites (for example, a partner lender's site). Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
